It’s a small three-game schedule in the NHL tonight, but there are still plenty of player props worth considering. Let’s take a look at a few.

Ivan Barbashev over 0.5 power play points +660 (FanDuel)

Article content

Let’s kick things off with a long shot play. Barbashev got vaulted to St. Louis’ top power play unit in their last game against Montreal. Los Angeles has allowed the most power plays (45) in the NHL this season and is killing off just 77% of them. The Blues have just 17 power plays on the season but have scored on five of them. Barbashev doesn’t have a reputation as a highly-skilled forward, but he’s coming off a season where he scored 26 goals with 60 points. It remains to be seen if St. Louis will keep their PP units intact against the Kings, but if they do, this bet could pay off handsomely.

Rasmus Dahlin over 2.5 shots on goal +100 (bet365)

The Sabers defenseman has had a breakout season with five goals on the year and hitting the net with regularity. Dahlin is averaging 3.5 shots on goal per game and 5.75 shot attempts per game. Buffalo will face a Detroit squad tonight that is allowing 34 shots on goal per 60 minutes at 5-on-5. The Sabers will also be at home and be able to get Dahlin out in some stronger matchups.

Martin Necas over 2.5 shots on goal +110 (BetMGM)

The Hurricanes have been one of the best teams in the NHL this season generating shot attempts, averaging just under 74 per game. Necas has been a big part of that in the last three games, averaging seven shot attempts per game and 3.33 shots on goal during that same stretch. The Canes clash with the Capitals tonight. Washington has given up 32 shot attempts per 60 minutes at 5-on-5 and should have their troubles containing a strong Carolina offense.
