London-headquartered Neo Studios is teaming up with Portuguese football club Benfica on Factory of Dreams: Benficaa behind-the-scenes look at the club and training center that has produced generations of world-class Portuguese and international stars.
Filmed in Lisbon during the club’s 2021/22 season, the four-part docuseries provides unprecedented access to the Benfica Campus, detailing the training methods that give the club its worldwide reputation and profiling the young players who are striving to make the club’s first team. Also featured are current players from the academy as well as some of its former graduates, including António Silva, Henrique Araújo, João Félix, Rúben Dias, Ederson, and João Cancelo.
“We are excited to be able to work closely with Benfica to portray what makes the club and Benfica Campus such a unique and special environment,” said Anouk Mertens, global CEO of Neo Studios. “The access they gave to our team is unparalleled, and I’m sure sports fans around the world will appreciate the more intimate stories that the documentary provides.”
Factory of Dreams: Benfica will be distributed to the US, European and Asian markets in the coming weeks.
