6 grade student wins laptop in competition with drawing of rescuer who evacuated residents of Batken during border conflict and died
AKIPRESS.COM – 6th grade student from Chui region Ali Talantbekov drew a rescuer who died during the events in Batken and won a laptop in the drawing competition, the regional state administration reported.
The competition “Rescuer” was held on October 5 in honor of the Day of Disaster Risk Reduction. It had the nominations “Best Song” and “Best Picture”.
More than 60 school students of the district participated. They prepared materials about rescuers and firefighters who save people risking their lives. Some of them chose the topic of Batken events.
Talantbekov is a 6th grade student of the school named after Ya.Ya.Vakker in Issyk-Ata district of Chui region. He drew a rescuer from Kyrgyzstan who lost his life during the conflict in Batken.
“I received a call in mid-October from the parents and wife of Aibek Baike, who died during the events in Batken. They thanked me for choosing him as the hero of my work. My mom said that even if I did not win the competition, the call from the relatives of a serviceman was the most valuable gift,” the boy said.
