The NFL Trade Dealline is right around the corner. On Tuesday November 1st (4:00 pm ET), teams will no longer be able to deal players to other teams until the start of the 2023 NFL offseason on March 15, 2023.
The last weeks have already been much more active than in previous years, with several blockbuster moves like: RB Christian McCaffrey to the 49ers, RB James Robinson to the Jets, WR Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs, DT Johnathan Hankins to Cowboys, WR Robbie Anderson to the Cardinals and LB Roquan Smith to the Ravens.
Kareem Hunt: still a last-minute option for Rams, Dolphins interested
The Browns will be listening to offers for Kareem Hunt until the very end of the 2022 NFL trade window. The Browns star, relegated to RB2 status due to the fantastic play of starter Nick Chubb, has requested a trade and the Cleveland franchise has openly stated that they are calling offers.
According to reports, Cleveland would be willing to part with their backup running back for a 4th round pick. The LA Rams could greatly benefit from the 27-year-old, given their recent backfield woes. The Miami Dolphins are rumored to be interested, but feel confident in their Moster-Edmonds tandem.
If Monday Night Football is future 2023 free agent Kareem Hunt’s last game as a Brown, he went out on a good note with 11 carries for 42 yards and 4 receptions for 30 yards.
Bradley Chubb: Broncos could still trade him to the Rams
The fifth overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft has been a force in Denver, who was listening to offers and was considering parting with the star linebacker for a 1st round pick. The Rams and Dolphins were two of the main suitors this week, but the talks have apparently cooled down.
The Broncos exercised the fifth-year option on Bradley Chubb’s contract on April 30th of 2021 and he will be a free agent in 2023.
Brandin Cooks: to the Packers?
Brandin Cooks is still an NFL star receiver, but his ceiling is very low on a team like the Texans, which arguably has the worst QB situation in the entire league. The Green Bay Packers and head coach Matt LaFleur are sitting at 3-5 and need an immediate boost if they want any shot at making the NFL playoffs in 2022.
Cooks would give the Packers a much-needed veteran presence in the receiving corps that would also help Allen Lazard.
Other wide receivers on the trading block include Chase Claypool
NFL insiders have flaunted the following names to the list of available wide receivers before the trade deadline: Pittsburgh Steelers’ Chase ClaypoolBroncos’ KJ Hamler, and New England Patriots’ Kendrick Bourne and Nelson Agholor.
All players that could have an immediate impact on new teams, but limited by their current situations. New York Jets’ Elijah Moore would also be a prime candidate, but head coach Robert Saleh has already said the franchise has no plans of moving him, despite the player’s request.
