In today’s era, many of us cannot imagine our lives without smartphones. We not only use them to make calls or send messages, but our phones have to carry many more important things from our daily lives. However, when smartphones were still being developed, it almost seemed like a distant dream. Recently, an article published in Mansfield News Journal from 1963 has gone viral on the internet for showing what people thought of smartphones at that time.
“You’ll be able to carry your phone in your pocket in the future,” read the article’s headline. The article further explains that the phone is a “laboratory development which is workable. One can make and answer calls wherever they are.” The article also informed that other telephone technology includes kitchen loud-speaking telephones and visual image telephones.

May the future generations find it a lot easier to do good,” said a third.
