Worth playing | ‘Backfirewall_’ Gets Release PlayStation, Xbox and PC Date, Nintendo Switch Later

Backfirewall_ takes you on a comedic escapade with the sassy self-aware Operating System, OS9. Faced with replacement by the far-better-optimized OS10, OS9’s goal is simple: stop the phone from updating, and stay alive.

Anyone who boots up the .exe of Backfirewall_ will arrive in a smartphone as an Update Assistant.

Encounter captivating characters based on familiar smartphone software and programs while exploring fascinating environments.

Manipulate surroundings with input command shortcuts like Ctrl+V to solve puzzles, create bugs, and disrupt the update progress preventing the outdated Operating System 9’s deletion (and your own).

“We are more than thrilled to finally announce the release date for Backfirewall_. The whole team has put a lot of effort into creating this engaging story crafted with clever humor”. said Julia Jean, Creative Director at Naraven Games. “Soon everyone interested will have a chance to properly meet the cheeky Operating System and decide its fate despite being absolutely amazed that someone would even consider updating it.”

Interested fans can check out the PC demo available on Steam.

Key Features:

  • Clever puzzles: Review terminal errors in RAM, party in the Speakers’ exclusive nightclub, navigate through the Wi-Fi bureaucracy, and explore other areas of a smartphone.
  • Cheat-codes to manipulate the environment: Hunt down or create bugs, trim binary trees, master music-controlled platforms, collect errors, and delete data using special cheat-codes.
  • A variety of app-characters: Gossip with quirky pieces of software—the sassy Photos, the insecure Social Media F, or the neglected Health, among others—and uncover their distinct side stories.
  • Numerous collectibles: Collect emails scattered about to discover a parallel story of the mysterious phone User.
  • Unproductive and useless humor: Enjoy meta satirical humor and breaking the fourth

Backfirewall_ is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam) on January 30, 2023, followed by Nintendo Switch at a later time.
