ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women’s golf team will play in one dual and four two-day events in 2022, leading up to the MIAC Championships on Oct. 1-3. The Scots begin the 2022 season on Sept. 1 in a dual with Crown College at Bluff Creek Golf Course in Chaska, Minn.
The schedule continues that weekend at the CSB Invite Sept. 3-4 at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in Sartell, Minn. On Sept. 10-11, Macalester will participate in the Georgianni Blugold Invitational, held at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club. The Scots will compete in the D3 Classic, hosted by Gustavus on Sept. 17-18 at Emerald Greens in Hastings, Minn. The final tune-up before the conference tournament is Sept. 24-25 at the St. Catherine Fall Invitational, held at Oak Glen Golf Course in Stillwater, Minn.
The 2022 MIAC Championships will be played at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids, Minn. on Oct. 1-3. Last year the Scots finished ninth at the 2021 MIAC Championships. Junior Phebe Chen (South Barrington, Ill./Barrington) and sophomores Kirstyn Barsola (New Braunfels, Texas/Academy of the Holy Angels), Lauren Petro (Canton, Ohio/Canton) and Elsa Vieregg (Northbrook, Ill./New Trier) are back from last year’s squad.
