Top 10 Right Wings revealed

  • by

NHL 23 is just right around the corner slated to release on October 14. From what we have seen so far from the trailer and the announcements, there are some exciting new features and mechanics that will be integrated into this year’s game.

Last month, I predicted which five right wing players would be the highest in this year’s NHL 23 video game. Ratings are some of the most exciting aspects of sports video games to get excited about as when they are announced, the community is focused and dialed in on the announcement.

NHL 23’s Ratings Week kicked off and with EA revealing the top ten right winged players in NHL 23 based on their rating. The top five players that I predicted to be the highest turned out to be the highest, but I never dove into who would fall into the 6-10 spots.

My NHL 23 top five right winger predictions from last month

  1. Patrick Kane: (92 Overall)
  2. Nikita Kucherov: (92 Overall)
  3. Mikko Rantanen: (91 Overall)
  4. David Pastrnak: (91 Overall)
  5. Mitchell Marner: (91 Overall)

Official NHL 23 top ten right winger ratings

  1. Patrick Kane: (93 Overall)
  2. Nikita Kucherov: (92 Overall)
  3. Mikko Rantanen: (91 Overall)
  4. David Pastrnak: (91 Overall)
  5. Mitchell Marner: (90 Overall)
  6. Alex DeBrincat: (89 Overall)
  7. Mark Stone: (89 Overall)
  8. Andrei Svechnikov: (88 Overall)
  9. Vladimir Tarasenko: (88 Overall)
  10. Jordan Kyrou: (87 Overall)

Patrick Kane is, at no surprise, leading the way this year for right winged players. The only difference from this year compared to last year is that his overall went up 1 point and he is now the only right winger in NHL 23 with a 93 rating. The Chicago Blackhawks had a very disappointing 2021-2022 NHL season, but that didn’t stop Patrick Kane from making his mark in the NHL by acquiring 92 points (26 goals, 66 assists) in 78 games played.

The remaining top five right wingers come as no surprise at all as well. Kucherov, Rantanen, Pastrnak, and Marner have all proven what they are capable of doing and that is why each of them has at least gotten a 90 overall or better.

The bottom half of the top 10 features some very interesting names as well. Alex DeBrincat will have a new home in Ottawa after scoring 41 goals with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2021-2022. An 89 overall rating is more than fair for DeBrincat and he is so close to joining the 90 overall club. I would not be shocked at all if Alex DeBrincat becomes a 90 overall in the very near future.

Mark Stone is another name on this list that doesn’t surprise me. Stone is an elite NHL player and when he is healthy, he is a huge threat to anyone facing off against the Vegas Golden Knights. As long as the Vegas Golden Knight are healthy, they should have no problem contending for the Stanley Cup this season and Mark Stone will be a huge part of their success.

Svechnikov, Tarasenko, and Kyrou round out the top ten and honestly all three of those players are deserving to have made it into the top ten. The one thing that each of these players have in common is that all of them are more than capable of putting the puck into the back of the net. If these guys are out there on the ice, you are going to have no problems scoring.

You aren’t going to have to wait too much longer to get your hands on playing as these right wingers in NHL 23. If you pre-order the X-Factor Edition of NHL 23, you will be able to start playing the game three days early on October 11. If you pre-order or purchase the Standard Edition of NHL 23, you will be able to start playing on October 14. Ratings Week is just getting started for EA Sports and they really kicked things off with a bang. these right wing ratings.
