Kamma has signed a deal with Knight Frank which will help the agency stay on top of its compliance amid changing regulations.
The growth of discretionary licensing schemes across the 408 local authorities in the UK has created a complex web of rules and regulations that landlords and agents have to follow.
ENFORCEMENT
In August The Neg reported that as a result of the increased enforcement, total fines for letting agents and landlords in the Greater London area had increased by more than £1 million since December 2021.
As well as increased enforcement, agents are also being fined larger amounts.
Last year in November the average fine for letting agents was £4,490, a year later Kamma reported an increase of around 5%, taking the average agent fine to £4,695.
LEGISLATIVE
As well as an instant property licensing check Knight Frank agents will also receive email alerts on legislative changes to residential lettings, sales, COVID-19 and insurance.
