A fan revealed his fandom for Argentina’s storied soccer team River Plate by showing off the 257 shield logos that were tattooed across his body.
The crazed supporter had just attended River Plate’s 2-1 loss to Banfield at Antonio Vespucio Liberti Stadium on Wednesday night when a reporter for the local network TyC sports caught a glimpse of the artwork.
The reporter asked the man to stop after he noticed multiple shields inked on his legs.

The man bragged about the tattoos of the River Plate shield that are inked on his head and neck area. The majority of the tattoos are along his back, chest, abdomen, legs and arms
The fan lifted his shirt to reveal his tatted chest, abdomen and back as well as his neck area.
He even made sure he had a fresh haircut so that the dozen or so tattoos of the shield on his head were clearly visible.
‘I respect everyone’s tattoo, but mine is because of an illness,’ the man said. ‘I’m sick for River, sick, sick.’

Close to a dozen tattoos of the shield of Argentine soccer club River Plate are inked on the head of a man who claimed to be the team’s biggest fan
The tattoo in question features a shield with a red diagonal band on the right side and the Spanish initials of the team, ‘CARP,’ which stands for Club Atlético de River Plate (Athletic Club of River Plate).
The River Plate super fan bragged that his body’s artwork beat out the tattoos that a fan of Brazilian soccer had inked on his body.
‘There is a Botafogo fan who has 83 tattoos. I beat that one, I have 257,’ he said.
River Plate’s rich history dates back to 1901 when it was founded and named after Rio de la Delta, an inlet in the Buenos Aires town of Núñez.
The team has won Argentina’s Primera Division (top division) 37 times and had 14 national cups, the last coming in 2021. In addition, River Plate has won 18 international titles, including four Copa Libertadores.
