Ryan Mutinda and Maryam Mwakitawa win third leg of junior golf series

A junior golfer in action during the third leg of the NCBA junior golf championship at Karen Country and Golf Club, Nairobi.

Krish Shah of Vetlab Sports Club won the boys 15-18 years category during the third leg of the Junior golf series held at Karen Country and Golf Club.

Krish Shah posted a total of 86 gross points to emerge the winner ahead of Ryan Mutinda of Royal Nairobi Golf Club who posted 86 gross.

In the Girls 15-18 years category, Maryam Mwakitawa of Golf Park Golf Club won with a score of 84 gross.

Amar Shah of Windsor Golf & Country Club led in the Boys 11 years category with a score of 76 gross while Marya Nyambura beat Nkini Pasha on a playoff to win the Girls 11-12 year category after tying first with a score of 93 gross.

Junaid Manji of Muthaiga Golf Club won in the Boys 13-14 year category after posting a score of 79 gross while Audrey Gachora led the Girls 13-14 Category.

Kanana Muthoni of Windsor played a wonderful 3 under par score of 33 to have a commanding lead in the girls 9-10 year category.

US Kids Golf Senior Director-Jim Hardy who attended the third leg praised the efforts being put in place to develop and grow junior golf in the country.

The NCBA Bank Deputy Director and Head of Brands-Jacquie Muhati expressed the bank’s commitment to supporting holding events in the country and expressed the promise that the series holds for the upcoming players

The fourth leg of the 8-legged event will be held this Sunday at Muthaiga golf club where more than 150 players are expected to enlist.
