The Arizona Diamondbacks conclude their three-city road trip in Philadelphia this week, with the series opener set for 3:40 pm on Monday. The game can be seen on Bally Sports Arizona. Follow this page for updates before, during and after this game.

Diamondbacks LHP Tommy Henry (1-1, 5.00) vs. Phillies RHP Zack Wheeler (3-3, 4.06).

Henry gave up four runs in 4 2/3 innings against the Athletics in his most recent start, struggling to command his pitches with consistency. That snapped a string of back-to-back starts in which he had given up two runs in six or more innings. … Henry’s four-seam fastball has been getting crushed; opponents are hitting .410 off it with three homers. He has been getting far better results off his offspeed pitches. … He struggled in his lone outing against the Phillies last year, giving up seven runs in four innings. … Wheeler gave up four runs in six innings against the Giants in his most recent start. … He has yet to string together multiple strong starts in a row the way he did for long stretches in recent years. … Wheeler faced the Diamondbacks once last season, firing six scoreless, two-hit innings with no walks and eight strikeouts.

MLB power rankings: Are the Arizona Diamondbacks a contender?

What to know about the Philadelphia Phillies

The Phillies entered Sunday having lost five of their past six games, causing their record to drop to 21-24. It has been a struggle for them on both sides of the ball. Their offense, which they expected to be a strength, particularly following the free-agent signing of SS Trea Turner, is averaging just 4.36 runs per game, ranking just eighth in the National League. Their pitching staff, meanwhile, has a 4.65 ERA, the fourth-worst mark in the league. Turner is off to a slow start, hitting just .257/.302/.390 with four homers and five steals. CF Brandon Marsh has been their best hitter so far, with a .870 OPS, 24 walks and 16 extra-base hits. DH Bryce Harper made a surprisingly quick return from elbow surgery and has swung the bat very well in his two weeks of action, hitting .328/.409/.517 with five doubles and two homers. Their Phillies’ top two starters have had uneven starts. RHP Zack Wheeler has a 4.06 ERA and RHP Aaron Nola has a 4.31 ERA. LHP Jose Alvarado had been terrific in relief but he is out with elbow inflammation.
