The Phillies stormed right back over the next two innings, scoring three runs in the fourth and two runs in the fifth to turn it into a brand-new ballgame.
This Philadelphia explosion was all the more impressive considering their opponent, taking the fight to hall of famer Justin Verlander, who was looking dominant early on.

From here, the game became a bullpen battle, with the pitchers of both sides rising to the occasion, keeping the game scoreless until Realmuto’s extra innings heroics.
This was Houston’s first loss in the 2022 postseason, having swept Seattle and the Yankees en route to the World Series.
The Astros will look to level the series 1-1 as they stay in Houston for Game 2, set to get underway at 11:03am (AEDT) tomorrow.
