Who is starting for the Mets?

Taylor Megill, who is coming off a shaky outing against the Cubs when he allowed four earned runs in 3.2 innings on Tuesday, including a pair of home runs. Coming off a quality start against the Rays in his previous start, it was a bit of a step backwards for the tall right-hander.

Overall, Megill has pitched to a 4.32 ERA in 10 games this season.

Who is starting for the Cubs?

Austin Gomber, who has been hit around this season. In 10 starts this season, the lefty has pitched to a 6.48 ERA with a 1.46 WHIP.

He pitched fairly well against the Mets on May 6, though, when he allowed just two earned runs over 6.0 innings at Citi Field.

Upcoming schedule

The Mets have an off day on Monday before returning home for a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies. First pitch on Tuesday is set for 7:10 pm on SNY.

Kodai Senga will take the ball for New York, while the Phillies haven’t announced a starter.
