Men’s Soccer Ties Seton Hall In BIG EAST Home Opener

PROVIDENCE, RI – The Providence College men’s soccer team tied Seton Hall, 2-2, on Sept. 24 at Anderson Stadium in the team’s BIG EAST home opener. Christopher Roman (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Luis Garcia (Gran Canaria, Spain) each scored a goal, while Gevork Diarbian (Cranston, RI) recorded a season-high two assists.

– Providence took an early lead as Roman scored his first goal of the season in the 15thth minute off a through ball from Gevork Diarbian.
– Seton Hall was able to take the lead as Quenzi Huerman scored the next two goals of the game to put the Pirates on top 2-1.
Luis Garcia scored his first goal of the season in the 81stSt minute to tie the game, 2-2.
– Diarbian was responsible for assists on both Friar goals.
