LONDON – Traveling to London on Thursday evening to face off with the OUA West leading Western Mustangs, the Brock Badgers men’s soccer team earned a point following a 0-0 draw.
The defensive stalemate proved to be a positive result for the Badgers who improved their record to 4-0-2 (WLT) remaining undefeated through six matches so far this season.
The draw was no easy task though for Brock as the Mustangs proved to be a physical team with the home side picking up 16 fouls, four yellow cards and a red card in the contest.
On the offensive side of the pitch, Noah DeDominicis provided the Badgers with their best opportunities, registering three shots on goal. Meanwhile, Brock keeper Taylor Miskolczi recorded eight saves on shots from seven different Mustangs attackers. The 0-0 draw marks the fourth consecutive clean sheet for Miskolczi who has only conceded one goal this season, while currently ranking tied for second in the OUA with 24 total saves.
Completing a home-and-home series with the Mustangs, action will head back to Alumni Field this Sunday Sept. 25. Kick off between Brock and Western is scheduled for 3:15 pm with the game also available to watch via OUA.TV.
