Bev Maddison and Maureen Carroll after their win on Wednesday

By Yoey Coogan

Wednesday 16 November the Gympie Golf Club Ladies had a field of 14, playing a Stableford.

The weather was in their favor once again and the first group finished the game with all three having the same score – a little bit suspect I thought.

The last group had the winner and runner up – again, suspicious…

The winner on the day with a terrific score of 38 was Maureen Carroll followed closely by Bev Maddison on 36.

The ball run down went to Annette Slater (34) on a count back to Debbie Deighton, Carol Ward and Helen Tossavainen.

Clair Thorburn received the last ball on 33.

Bev Maddison got a birdie, Carol Ward won the Open Pin Shot, Bev Maddison won Division 1 Pin shot and Lydia Costello won Division 2. Poor old Yoey had a hard day but has been rewarded with a coffee voucher from “Little h Café” at Southside.

Saturday the group had 13 playing a stroke competition.

Some good scores and then there was me again.

Winner on the day with a great score of 67 was Noleen Gooding – Great play Noleen!

Coming in second with a score of 69 was Karen Mills.

Ball run down went to Karen Colley (70) and Charlotte Rensonnet (72) on a count back to Rhonda Muller.

Pin shots were won by Charlotte Rensonnet (16th Open), Karen Colley (12th Division 1) and Noleen Gooding (6th Division 2).

Del Groundwater scored herself another birdie.
