Draymond Green says Andrew Wiggins’ situation does not need speculation

The Golden State Warriors are in a state of flux, despite their current championship defense. They may or may not have missed on a couple of lottery picks, the strong track record of leadership they once had maybe splintered due to a punch, they’ve been a disaster on the road, and now they have the uncertainty of possibly their second best player as a new cloud over the team.

Andrew Wiggins has been out since mid-February with personal issues, and it seems as if there is no timetable on when, or if, he will return to the team this season.

Despite there being no official explanation for Wiggins’ absence, there has been a lot of speculation as to what the reasoning is. A pretty damning rumor began to make the internet rounds recently, and Draymond Green immediately took to his podcast to express his dismay with the rumors:

Draymond has been a lightning rod for controversy most of his career and has a pretty good grip on being the topic of discussion. His perspective is refreshing and much-needed. We don’t know what is going on with Wiggins and we shouldn’t know until he’s ready for people to know.
