CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control Center is hosting its first ever “Black Friday Mobile Pet Adoption” event.

The event will start Friday at 11 am at the SouthPark Mall on Sharon Road and last until 3 pm Adoption fees will be waived for all cats, kittens and dogs at the event.

The Black Friday special will continue at the Adoption Center on Saturday and Sunday.

Adoption fees will be waived when a donation is made.

The shelter said it is at capacity and only has eight open kennels left.

During the holiday season, the shelter is asking those who can, to consider taking pets from the shelter on a “staycation”, where you can give a pet a break from the kennel for a couple of days when the shelter is closed.

The CMPD Animal Care and Control plans to host a dog adoption event on Dec. 3 at Lily Pulitzer inside SouthPark. For more information on how you can adopt and for all future events, click here.
