Benicia High boys soccer defeats Vallejo – Times-Herald

The Benicia High boys soccer team had no trouble with Vallejo on Tuesday night as the Panthers won 6-0 at home.

The Panthers (11-3) were led by a hat trick from Jose Valencia, who also had an assist. Caden Kaffer, Owen Sherry and Lawrence Collins also had goals for Benicia. Cameron Finch, Niko Ruiz, Roman Hamed and Eduardo Chavarria also had assists.

Meanwhile Vallejo continued to struggle and fell to 0-12-1 with the loss.

Girls Basketball

American Canyon 55, Justin-Siena 51

The American Canyon girls basketball team defeated Justin-Siena 55-51 in overtime on Tuesday night.

The Wolves went ahead 21-19 at the half, but were outscored 14-11 in the fourth period to force the extra period.

American Canyon is now 15-7 and 5-2 in the Vine Valley Athletic League with the win.

Bethel 54, Richmond 48

The Bethel High girls basketball team defeated Richmond 54-48 on Tuesday night.

The Jaguars improved to 10-7 overall and 8-1 in the Tri-County Athletic League with the win.

Bethel’s next game is scheduled for Friday at Kennedy.

St. Pat’s 52, St. Mary’s 41

The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High girls basketball team won its second game in as many days on Tuesday night with a 52-41 win over St. Mary’s.

The Bruins improved to 16-4 and 4-3 in the Tri-County Athletic League with the win.
