It is not a secret that Paige Spiranac has never liked the new LIV Golf Invitational Series since its inception. However, she began to accept why the golfers signed with the PGA Tour rival league with time.
However, the former golfer doesn’t understand why the LIV players try to conceal the reason they actually signed with the Saudi-backed league. And she can’t help but get annoyed with this fact.

Patrick Reed is one of the professional golfers to join the LIV Golf despite the suspension threat from the PGA Tour. He had cited that with the new Invitational Series, he would get more time to spend with his family since it only has eight schedules this season. However, now he is attending an Asian Tour event between his LIV schedule.
“I think my frustration with all of this is that there’s just this lack of transparency,” she said. “…which I just don’t like from the whole side.” She revealed her thoughts about LIV Golf players through the latest episode of her podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee.’ “Be honest about why you want to do it,” she added.
Other than the $225 million total purse money the LIV Golf offers for its eight events, they also offer guaranteed money for its players. According to reports, players like Phil MickelsonBryson DeChambeauand Dustin Johnson received $100+ million as contract money. However, none of them have cited money as the reason to join the league except DeChambeau.
Spiranac finds it troubling as she believes if the LIV players become more transparent, they will have chances to work together with other Tours and thus grow the game.

“For me, it’s more about traveling and playing golf and trying to grow the game around the world,” the former Masters champion said. He explained that he loves traveling and playing around the world, and playing in tournaments is better than staying at home. “To play an event like this is a dream for me,” he added.
