Auburn’s season came to a close six days ago when the Clemson Tigers beat them 5-1 in the regional finals.
The Tigers made it to the NCAA Regionals for the third straight season and their 43 wins were the most they have managed since Mickey Dean took over and they finished third in the SEC.

Here is a look at Makayla Packer’s junior season.
Batting Average: .307
Packer finished third among qualified hitters with a .307 batting average but it was a step back for the Chatanooga, Tennessee native. She hit .324 last season and now has a career average of .313.
Games Played: 55
Packer was once again a mainstay in the lineup, playing in 55 games and making 47 starts.
Hits: 31
Packer recorded 31 hits on the season, including three doubles and two triples. She now has 105 hits in her time on the Plains.
Home Runs: 0
Packer saw a dip in her power at the plate, failing to hit a home run after hitting nine last season.
Slugging Percentage: .376
Due to her lack of home runs, she recorded a career-low .376 slugging percentage and now has a career slugging percentage of .491.
RBI: 7
Packer managed seven RBI on the season but did add 24 runs, tied for the fourth most on the team.
Fielding Percentage: .985
Packer was once again great in center field, recording 62 putouts and two assists while making just one error. Her .985 fielding percentage was a career-best and raised her career mark to .979.
