The Cobram Barooga Golf Club veterans are holding their community health charity golf day once again after a two-year break.
Running at the Cobram Barooga Golf Club on October 25 from 10am, the day will also have a barbecue and a raffle.
The $30 fee includes raffle entry and lunch, with all proceeds going towards NCN Health.
Cobram Barooga Golf Club veterans president Barry Gook said it would be the first event since 2019, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“The participants will just play the event and afterwards we give away prizes for men’s pair, ladies’ pair and mixed pair,” he said.
“In the last 10 years we’ve raised around $50,000 and we usually average between $5000 and $7000 … this year, we’d be hoping to get $6000 or thereabouts.”
Golf club members and the public alike are welcome to come along and play; entry forms can be obtained from the Cobram Barooga Golf Club.
Mr Gook said the event was sponsored by the golf club and Sporties, which will be providing a prize for the raffle.
There will be additional raffle prizes donated by local businesses, as well as door prizes handed out on the day.
Entry forms for the event can be lodged at the Cobram Barooga Golf Club; contact the club’s pro shop for more information.
