NY Jets draft picks 2023: Live updates, round-by-round selections

The Jets may no longer have their original first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but they only dropped back two spots for a very good reason.

Gang Green pick at No. 15 overall on Thursday, with the No. 13 picks now belong to the Green Bay Packers following the monstrous trade for Aaron Rodgers. The team also sent a second-pick in the deal.

With their quarterback finally in place, the Jets are looking to add to the roster around him in hopes of competing for the Super Bowl this upcoming season. Their first big opportunity to do so will be at the draft, where the Jets plan to select multiple players who can have an immediate impact in 2023.

Round 1, No. 15 overall: Will McDonald

The Jets bolstered their defense by taking defensive end/linebacker Will McDonald from Iowa State.

Round 2, no. 43 overall: Joe Tippmann

The Jets beefed up the offensive line with Joe Tippmann from Wisconsin. He played guard and center in college.

Round 4, No. 120 overall: Carter Warren

The Jets added another offensive lineman, this time in tackle Carter Warren out of Pittsburgh.

Round 5, no. 143 overall: Israel Abanikanda

The Jets selected another Pitt product to add to their running back room.

Round 6, No. 184 overall: Zaire Barnes

The Jets selected this outside linebacker from Western Michigan, an FBS school.
