Few NHL teams have been better offensively in the month of December than the Buffalo Sabers (13-14-2). The Sabers have scored 27 goals in six games this month, scoring at least six goals in a game three times in that span, including a nine-goal performance against the Columbus Blue Jackets last week. Last time out, they played maybe their best game of the month, shutting out the Los Angeles Kings 6-0. On Thursday night, they begin a road trip and look to get revenge for one of their few losses this month, heading to Denver to take on the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche (15-10-2).
