Caps winger Alex Ovechkin has 17 goals this season and is now three goals shy of joining Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky as the only players to eclipse the 800 goals mark. Ovechkin has four goals in his last three games, including two against Philadelphia on Wednesday night.
Patrick Kane has a team-high 16 assists and 20 points for the Blackhawks despite not tallying a point in the last three games. Even with the recent scoring drought, the 16-year veteran leads the team with 11 power play assists, halfway to a career-high 22 which he achieved last season.
