The big questions of the looming offseason: will the New York Yankees re-sign Aaron Judge?

It’s hard to predict what the outfielder will do.

But ESPN’s Jeff Passan appeared on the Rich Eisen Show to lay it all out:

“Nobody in the Yankees organization really has a great sense of what he’s going to do … The Yankees are in a bit of a damned if they do, damned if they don’t. But if they don’t they’re a lot more damned … I don’t have a great sense on the timeline at this point. I look at Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, they didn’t sign until February. I look at Corey Seager and he signed in November … I could see him wanting to get something done quickly … I don’t know that the Mets are going to be involved, that’s not clear at this point. I do think that Dodgers will be involved. And I think a lot of the Red Sox depends on what happens with Rafael Devers … if a Devers contract comes through then I think they’re out of the running for Judge … can you imagine Aaron Judge with the Red Sox?

The New York Post’s Joel Sherman says that Judge will have “all the leverage” in any of these negotiations.

Judge rejected a seven-year, $213.5 million contract before Opening Day and will be a free agent after the World Series.

The San Francisco Giants have also been heavily linked to Judge, who is a Bay Area native.
